Who am I?
I’m a leader with over 15 years of experience shaping strategies that connect people, build brands, and create inclusive environments. I’m passionate about amplifying voices, fostering collaboration, and driving real impact. Whether it's launching global campaigns, leading creative teams, or managing complex communications, I’m focused on delivering results and empowering others along the way. With a background in employer branding, content strategy, and employee engagement, I thrive in fast-paced environments and lead with empathy, creativity, and a clear vision.
Brand Advocacy
In addition to my full-time work, I took on promotional marketing gigs over the weekends. This is where I experienced firsthand, as a brand ambassador, that the ones interacting and connecting with customers are the true embodiment of the brand. This experience shaped my belief that authentic storytelling and clear communication are key to building strong brands and engaged teams.
Keener Communications
I started here as a junior in high school. This was a big deal at the time because it was considered an office job and you did not land those in high school. I worked every shift and role at this company. I started as a customer service representative. I quickly built my soft skills and conflict resolution abilities. I consider this the incubator period, where I was developing my leadership qualities. I held a role as a manager, trainer, HR, quality assurance, and eventually marketing manager. I developed marketing materials and created communication channels to keep our existing customers informed on the updates happening within the company and targeted new customers that were a perfect match for our services. This is when I knew that marketing, associate engagement, and communications were my niche and special power.
Capital One
Making the move from a small business to corporate world was one of the biggest challenges for me. I knew that if I could just get a shot that I would prove to them that I was an asset. I decided that I would start in the call center since it was an environment that I knew I would excel in quickly. I immediately saw opportunities to flex my creative skills outside of my core role and the rest of my journey there led me to each opportunity that I earned.

Embracing Change and Growing Through Challenges
Change management has been a constant throughout my career. One particularly impactful moment occurred at Capital One, where I was tasked with leading change communications for 20,000 associates. This project was critical, but it also coincided with a personal challenge: supporting my mother through chemotherapy. Despite these personal demands, I remained committed to ensuring the success of the project. Working from the hospital, I took calls and managed the project remotely, knowing that both my family and my team were relying on me. This experience deepened my understanding of resilience, empathy, and the power of purpose-driven work.

Embracing Leadership and Mentorship
In each new role, I’ve sought opportunities to lead and mentor, and I’ve been fortunate to advance through promotions that reflect my commitment to growth and innovation. I’ve discovered that my impact is not just in the projects I lead, but also in the relationships I build. Whether working alongside the SVP of Enterprise Sales at McKesson or supporting cross-functional teams on complex projects, I have always aimed to be a supportive partner and a thoughtful leader.
One of my proudest achievements is my track record of building high-performing, engaged teams. At Capital One, for instance, I led a team of 14 associates and implemented an associate recognition program that earned a perfect engagement score. My time in this role taught me that creating an environment where people feel appreciated, empowered, and encouraged to grow is essential for success.

Looking Ahead: A Passion for Purpose-Driven Communication
Today, I am more committed than ever to fostering inclusive, empowering, and purpose-driven work environments. Each stage of my career has reinforced the value of connection, transparency, and a clear sense of purpose. I’ve learned that while tools and technologies evolve, the fundamentals of effective communication remain the same. It’s about understanding what motivates people, aligning with the organization’s mission, and crafting messages that resonate.
As I look to the future, I am eager to take on new challenges that allow me to leverage my experience in communications, change management, and recognition. I am drawn to roles where I can contribute to organizational growth and success while remaining true to my core belief: that meaningful work is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and a commitment to positive change.
This journey has been one of growth, resilience, and purposeful storytelling. And while each chapter has come with its unique challenges, I am grateful for the opportunities that have shaped me into the leader I am today—one who is passionate about building connections, celebrating diversity, and creating workplaces where everyone feels valued.
In sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to pursue careers that align with their values and to remember that each step, no matter how small, brings us closer to our purpose.
Next stop?
Your team.
